Jasmien was born in the Netherlands, raised by an Egyptian father and Dutch mother.

Submerged in two different cultures she and would travel extensively, cultivating her Nomadic spirit.

In 2013 she travelled to Marrakech where she met Nicole and fell in love with the craftsmanship of the Moroccan artisans. Together they masterminded an idea of bringing this craftmanship to the rest of the world and the idea of "The Secret Souk” was born. One year later the first edition was realized in a spacey loft in New York City, where they transformed the loft into an interactive marketplace and immersive dining experience. After living in California for 13 years, she met Kourosh by chance and became creative sparring partners doing lots of project and home remodels together.

 

Kourosh was born in Iran and fled during the revolution to America. Having been dropped off at his dad’s rug shop, he quickly learned about antiques, rugs and trading them. Having to support his family, he dropped out of high school and started his own business doing restaurant maintenance. He learned all the tricks of the trade, to work fast and be resourceful. He would take trips to New York and hang out at his uncle’s antique & art shop where he learned about fine art. When he met Jasmien, he felt like he met his creative other.

Together they moved to Ibiza and continue to bring beauty into their world. 

 

Nicole was born in Germany to an Italian father and German mother. As a deeply creative being she had a successful career in fashion. As a senior designer she worked in Paris, India, Japan and Amsterdam before falling in love with Marrakech and purchasing a Riad. She renovated the Riad to perfection and met Jasmien as her first Airbnb client. Since their collaboration in NYC, Nicole has been focussing on designing, fabricating and sourcing beautiful and unique interior objects for clients all over the world.

She is a creative powerhouse, has eye for every detail and never skips a beat.
